My goal is the realization of the individual and collective potential of the people, which is mostly blocked by stereotypes and psychological restrictions in the field of humans artistic activity and music. Each person can reach the greatest results in their own career and in the social path. My new model of work with the people is a well-tuned balance between motivation and efficiency of teamwork based on the method of the most successful violin mentor of all time Leopold Auer

Violinist and violin pedagogue

Chingiz
OSMANOV

Chingiz Osmanov is a St. Petersburg–born violinist, a distinctive virtuoso soloist, and a direct heir of the great St. Petersburg violin school. As Salvatore Accardo remarked: “Chingiz Osmanov’s playing combines brilliant technique with pure, profound musicality.”

Chingiz Osmanov's performances are a unique fusion of flawless virtuosity and profound musicality. Critics and audiences alike highlight his rare ability to unveil the beauty and depth of violin music, making listeners fall in love with every piece he performs.

His magnetic stage presence and mastery of diverse repertoire—ranging from Baroque and classical to contemporary and chamber music—create an unforgettable experience. Standing among the very few violinists capable of conquering the most demanding peaks of violin literature, he performs both the complete 24 Paganini Caprices and the full set of Ysaÿe’s Six Sonatas. Whether performing orchestral solos or intimate chamber pieces, Chingiz holds the audience in rapt attention, transforming time into a fleeting moment. Known for his ability to craft a magical atmosphere, his concerts leave no one indifferent, turning every performance into a deeply emotional journey.

Osmanov’s international solo career spans Europe and Asia, with performances at major venues such as the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the Moscow House of Music, the Kremlin Palace, the Israeli Opera House in Tel Aviv, The Coliseum Theatre in London, Nurimaru APEC House, and the Lotte Concert Hall in South Korea, among many others. He has collaborated with leading musicians and conductors across Europe and Asia, among them some of the most distinguished figures in the classical music world, including Grigory Sokolov, Leif Segerstam, Guan Xia, Vasily Petrenko, Jean-Bernard Pommier, Eliane Rodrigues, Maxim Vengerov, Vadim Repin, and Anna Netrebko, working together on prominent international concert and recording projects.

His discography as a soloist includes collaborations with renowned labels such as Naxos and Navona Records, among others. It also features his work as concertmaster on the recording Sviridov: Russia Cast Adrift with Dmitri Hvorostovsky — a project that reached the final shortlist of four nominees in the category Best Classical Solo Vocal Album at the Grammy Awards in 2017.

He graduated from the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in the class of Professor M. Gantvarg, where he later obtained his Doctor of Musical Arts in violin along with the professional rank of Leading Stage Master. He was awarded the Special Prize for the best performance of a virtuoso composition at the 2nd International Jascha Heifetz Competition (Vilnius, 2007).

With a rich orchestral career behind him, he served as first principal violin and concertmaster of the St. Petersburg State Academic Symphony Orchestra and performed with the acclaimed chamber ensemble “Soloists of St. Petersburg,” later founding the chamber orchestra Sinfonietta of St. Petersburg. In addition to his performing career, he has played an important role in training the next generation of musicians, leading an advanced violin class at the St. Petersburg Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire. Many of his students have achieved notable international success.

Beyond his artistic and academic work, he has also distinguished himself as a cultural leader and initiator of influential public projects aimed at both expanding access to classical music and advancing contemporary music education. Among the most notable are the Colour-Concert Series for inclusive children's audiences, the Saint Petersburg Nights Proms Festival, the international violin festival “Auer. Heritage,” and the online education initiative “At Home with the Orchestra,” together forming an integrated creative ecosystem that empowered young musicians, fostered artistic dialogue, and built sustainable cultural platforms.
